The Definition of Courage.
Courage is not defined by those
who fought and did not fall,
but by those who fought,
fell and rose again.
Change
If you don't like something,
change it, if you can't change it,
change the way you think about it.

Awakening...
Awakening, dawn's chorus
Welcoming,
The day new, untouched
Waiting to be filled....
And will we paint a rainbow
With all its promise
Or dull the canvas
Sadly seen?
Each day brings its own colours
To be chosen, mixed,
Pigments of joy,
Happy moments,
Smiles and laughter....
And which will you choose?
For 'Life' is choice,
We are all painters
In our own way,
All needing to create
Something of worth,
Of lasting beauty,
Marking our journey....
Footprints in the sand....
The sky today is azure,
The sun warm and golden
A filigree of light and shadow-play
Through the gently swaying trees.
I clean my brushes,
Choose my palette
Of vibrant, living colours,
And begin to fill
Today's blank canvas

The Major Key to Your Better Future is You
Of all the things that can have an effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will not happen without personal growth. It’s really the open door to it all. In fact I’d like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is, “The major key to your better future is YOU.”
Let me repeat that. “The major key to your better future is YOU.” Put that someplace you can see it everyday, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere where you can see it everyday. The major key to your better future is YOU. Try to remember that every day you live and think about it. The major key is YOU.
Now, there are many things that will help your better future. If you belong to a strong, dynamic and progressive company, that would help. If the company has good products, good services that you are proud of, that would certainly help. If there were good sales aids, that would help, good training would certainly help. If there is strong leadership that will certainly help. All of these things will help, and of course, if it doesn’t storm, that will help. If your car doesn’t break down, that will help. If the kids don’t get sick, that will help. If the neighbors stay half way civil, that will help. If your relatives don’t bug you, that will help. If it isn’t too cold, if it isn’t too hot, all those things will help your better future. And if prices don’t go much higher and if taxes don’t get much heavier, that will help. And if the economy stays stable, those things will all help. We could go on and on with the list; but remember this, the list of things that I’ve just covered and many more - all put together - play a minor role in your better future.
The major key to your better future is you. Lock your mind onto that. This is a super important point to remember. The major key is you. Mr. Shoaff always answered when asked, “How do you develop an above average income?” by saying “Simple, become an above average person. Work on you.” Mr. Shoaff would say, “Develop an above average handshake.” He would say, “A lot of people want to be successful, and they don’t even work on their handshake. As easy as that would be to start, they let it slide. They don’t understand.” Mr. Shoaff would say, “Develop an above average smile. Develop an above average excitement. Develop an above average dedication. Develop an above average interest in other people.” He would say, “To have more, become more.” Remember; work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For a long time in my life, I didn’t have this figured out.
Strangely enough, with two different people in the same company one may earn an extra $100 a month, and the other may earn a $1,000. What could possibly be the difference? If the products were the same, if the training was the same, if they both had the same literature, the same tools. If they both had the same teacher, the same compensation plan, if they both attended the same meetings, why would one person earn the $100 per month and the other person earn the $1000? Remember here is the difference...the difference is personal, inside, not outside, inside.
You see the real difference is inside you. In fact, the difference IS you. Someone once said, “The magic is not in the products. The magic is not in the literature. The magic is not in the film. There isn’t a magic meeting, but the magic that makes things better is inside you, and personal growth makes this magic work for you.
The magic is in believing. The magic is in daring. The magic is in trying. The real magic is in persevering. The magic is in accepting. It’s in working. The magic is in thinking. There is magic in a handshake. There is magic in a smile. There is magic in excitement and determination. There is real magic in compassion and caring and sharing. There is unusual magic in strong feeling and you see, all that comes from inside, not outside. So, the difference is inside you. The real difference is you. You are the major key to your better future.

Leaders Are Readers
Couple of years ago I happened to read this quote "Leaders Are Readers". The quote made a favorable impression on me. Although Charles Jones had coined this quote but I ensured that it was committed to my memory as I realized that the key to expanding one's knowledge is by reading. Perhaps not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers. If that's true, then why don't more people read?
There are a variety of reasons why people don’t read as much as they should. They feel that it's not their responsibility after they finish school whereas others don't read because they are simply indolent. On an average people read about 1-2 books per year.
In fact it is the responsibility of an individual to inculcate the discipline of reading within them after finishing school. One’s mind should be open to grab knowledge because knowledge is that wealth an individual can acquire and store in his brain where no thief can come and touch it.
Successful people have got successful vocabulary and they ensure that reading a book on 'Self Improvement' for half an hour everyday is itself inspiring as it sets the spiritual tone for the rest of the day and it pays to increase one's word power by not only keeping the channels of communication open but to also express more completely as individuals.
I hope each one of us becomes voracious readers. A book a month will keep you even. It takes effort, but it's worth it. It takes regular, persistent reading and studying for one to improve and climb the ladder of success. The journey is indeed rewarding and also a voyage of discovery.
The daily practice of reading in our chosen field will make us one of the best informed people in our field. So, let's decide and make reading as our resolution. A resolution that may require a lifestyle change from being better to the best.

The Integrity of True Beauty
Thought is an amazing thing:
It can be a mirror, a lens, a bridge, a wall, a window, a ladder or a house. There is nothing in the world that has the cutting edge of a new thought. It is fascinating to watch the clearance it can make and the new life it can bring. Often, without knowing it, we are waiting for a new idea to come and cut us free from our entanglement. When the idea is true and the space is ready for it, the idea overtakes everything. With grace-like swiftness, it descends and claims recognition; it cannot be returned or reversed. It becomes more forceful than any single action could be. Indeed, it becomes the mother of a whole sequence of new feeling, thinking and action. Though we live mostly in the visible world and our personalities, roles and work distinguish and identify us externally, we dwell more forcefully elsewhere. A person can dwell inside a thought.
Yet each individual who thinks is limited and confined within his own mind. The poignancy of thought is that it can never bridge the distance between the self and the world. The medieval mind filled that interim distance with the interesting presence of the five Transcendentals -- Being, The One, the Good, the True and the Beautiful. Being is the deepest reality, the substance of our world and all the things in it. The One claims that all things are somehow bound together in an all-embracing unity: despite all the differences in us, around us and between us, everything ultimately holds together as one; chaos does not have the final word. The True claims that reality is true and our experience is real and our actions endeavor to come into alignment with the truth. The Good suggests that in practicing goodness we participate in the soul of the world. The fifth is the Beautiful.
Every act of thinking, mostly without our realizing it, is secretly grounded in these presences.
Integrity is the adequacy of a thing to itself. There is here a sense of achieved proportion between a thing and what it is called to be. Creation is always in the heave of growth; the integrity of beauty is that inner straining towards goodness and completion. There is a wonderful urgency within things to realize the dream of their individual fulfillment. Nothing is neutral, everything is on its way. Aquinas insisted that goodness, truth and integrity belonged essentially to beauty. In light of this we can see that much of the current cultural breakdown can be understood as failure of vision with regard to beauty.

Beautiful Thoughts
Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
Always try to help a friend in need
Believe in yourself
Be brave...but it's ok to be afraid sometimes
Study hard
Give lots of kisses
Laugh often
Don't be overly concerned with your weight, it's just a number
Always try to see the glass half full
Meet new people, even if they look different to you
Remain calm, even when it seems hopeless
Take lots of naps..
Be weird whenever you have the chance
Love your friends, no matter who they are
Don't waste food
RELAX
Take an occasional risk
Try to have a little fun each day.
...it's important
Work together as a team
Share a joke with friends
Fall in love with someone..
...and say "I love you" often
Express yourself creatively
Be conscious of your appearance
Always be up for surprises
Love someone with all of your heart
Share with friends
Watch your step
It will get better
There is always someone who loves you more than you know
Exercise to keep fit
Live up to your name
Seize the Moment
Hold on to good friends; they are few and far between
Indulge in the things you truly love
Cherish every Sunday
At the end of the day... PRAY
....... and close your eyes
And smile at least once a day!

1. Character is the light which shines
When sun is down, and other light are out.
Character is that power,
with which we can win war even losing some battles.
2. 'Care' is the main ingredient that keeps true relatios alive,
despite separation, distance & time.
Since I cant see you, Let my Care be with YOU.
3. You Can live without the person who says 'You Are Mine',
But you can never live without someone who says ' I Am Yours'.
May you always be blessed with such persons in you life.
4. Life is not worth lliving until you have someone to die for......
and Life is not worth dying once you have someone to live for.
5. Rainbow is cute design, as they lovingly shine,
Have you seen an inverted rainbow? You never know that,
It is you smile. Let me see that rainbow forever.

Beautiful Thoughts
LOVE AND BEAUTY
Love magic begins by first learning to love and believe in yourself and your inner strength and beauty.
Did you know that when you are feeling happy, your eyes can shine as brightly as deep sparkling pools of light? All kids feel a bit unsure about their looks sometimes and if ever you do feel that way, you can help by casting this magic spell on any day of the week. Before you begin, remember that whatever the shape or size of your body or the color of your hair and eyes, you are truly a wonderful and special child of the Universe. Then, find some time for yourself when you can be alone for a while and take a warm shower or bath and get dressed in a robe or some comfortable clothes. Stand in front of your bathroom mirror and look at your face, concentrating especially on your eyes. Keep looking into your own eyes and softly say these words to yourself, ‘beautiful magic lives inside me’. Next, look into the mirror and give yourself a big smile, and let yourself have a giggle or a laugh if you feel like it. Then put your hands softly up to touch your face and say the words, ‘I feel the touch of nature’s love.’ Then, hold your hands together in front of you and keep looking into your eyes as you seal the spell’s power by saying, ‘I will honor myself and my beautiful mind, spirit and body.’
LUCK AND SUCCESS
Ask the fairies to bring you good fortune by sprinkling a little silver glitter around your room whenever you need some extra luck and success.
If you’ve got an important competition or race coming up you can cast this spell the day before the event, to help give you that winning edge. Gather together a teaspoon of some dried rosemary and mint. (These are very easy to find even in your kitchen or local store) and even though we find these herbs in most kitchen cupboards, they have been used since ancient times to help cast spells and enchantments. Pour the rosemary and mint into a white bowl and stir with a spoon while you think about your competition. Imagine that you see yourself winning a prize and at the same time feel relaxed and happy as you say these words. ‘By moon and herb I mix my charm and so shall it be from this time on’. Finish the spell by placing the bowl near your window and leaving it there for one week.
FRIENDSHIP AND POPULARITY
Everyone wants to be well-liked and popular, but sometimes it’s not so easy for a sensitive kid to make new friends - especially when you’ve started taking a new class at school, or you might be a little shy, or maybe you just don’t get along with some of the kids in your neighborhood. To help your popularity and to feel more confident. Cast this spell on any afternoon. You will need,
Two pieces of blue (or you can use your favorite colour) and one piece of white cotton or wool thread about 10 inches in length Tie the thread together in a knot at one end and then plait or braid the three pieces together all the way to the other end. While you do this, try not to worry about any kids or problems that are bothering you, just try to think happy and positive thoughts while you say, ‘As I tie this magic yarn, one by one my friends will come.’ When you’ve finished braiding, tie up the other end in a firm not and then hold the magic braid in your right hand as you feel very confident and say, ‘So shall it be.’ Then, you can keep the braid in your pocket or schoolbag to help attract good feelings around you or you can tie it around your wrist and wear it as a cute magic bracelet.
SCHOOL AND STUDY
I bet you are very creative and you probably love being outdoors enjoying yourself with friends and nature. But then, do you find it hard to settle down and concentrate on your schoolwork - or keep your mind on your studies? Well, this easy spell can help you focus and stretch your mind power - and will definitely make studying much more fun. You will need
a wooden pencil
a piece of clean white paper
a bin or garbage bag
A desk or table and chair
Your school books
A well lit room

You can cast your spell anytime you like but the best time would be just before a study session or whenever you do your homework. Begin by placing the pencil and paper on the table or desk near your school-books and sit in a comfortable position nearby. Pick up the pencil and hold it in both hands while you take deep breaths for a few seconds to help calm your body and mind. Imagine that there is a warm light around you which is filling you with energy and power and even the pencil in your hands feels warm and tingly. Then look at the piece of paper in front of you and copy down this magic puzzle.
ABRACADABRA
ABRACADABR
ABRACADAB
ABRACADA

Look at the puzzle for a few moments and say ‘Abracadabra’ three times, then roll the paper up in a ball, throw it in the bin, and start your study session.
FAMILY AND PETS
Home and family are important to all kids and if you are also intuitive and a bit psychic, birds and all animals feel safe and happy when you are around. To keep attracting lovely energy and protective magic around your family and pets, you will need to gather
one egg,
a small seashell
juice of one orange in a cup
A small table or a chair
Then, on a Sunday morning or afternoon, place everything onto the table or chair in your bedroom and walk clockwise around the table three times as you repeat this incantation. ‘I cast this circle in the name of good.’ Then pick up the egg and hold it gently in your hands as you think loving thoughts about your family and pets, knowing that they are all safe and well. Keep doing this until you start to feel very calm and then break the egg into the cup of orange juice. Next, put the seashell into the cup as well and then stir everything together with the spoon, while you say, ‘With the color of the sun and seagull’s wing, animals and trees hear us sing, protect our home from everything.’ Then go outside to your front or back yard and pour the magic mixture onto a garden or near a tree.

10 Rules For Good Days.....
1. TODAY I WILL NOT STRIKE BACK:
If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind...
I will not respond in a like manner.
2. TODAY I WILL ASK GOD TO BLESS MY "ENEMY":
If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask God to bless that individual. I understand the "enemy" could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker, or a stranger.
3. TODAY I WILL BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I SAY:
I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip.
4. TODAY I WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE:
I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.
5. TODAY I WILL FORGIVE:
I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way.
6. TODAY I WILL DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE, BUT I WILL NOT DO IT SECRETLY:
I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.
7. TODAY I WILL TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WISH TO BE TREATED:
I will practice the golden rule - "Do unto others as I would have them do unto me" - with everyone I encounter.
8. TODAY I WILL RAISE THE SPIRITS OF SOMEONE I DISCOURAGED:
My smile, my words, my expression of support, can make the difference to someone who is wrestling life.
9. TODAY I WILL NATURE MY BODY:
I will eat less; I will eat only healthy foods. I will thank God for my body.
10. TODAY I WILL GROW SPIRITUALLY:
I will spend a little more time in prayer today: I will begin reading something spiritual or inspirational today; I will find a quiet place (at some point during the day)!

Inspirational Message - Think on This
Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight;
- Just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.
Should you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair.
- There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work;
- Think of the man who has been out of work for the last three months.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad;
- Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
- Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week, for -15.00 to feed her family.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance;
- Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror;
- Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking "what is my purpose";
- Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
- Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!

Empower Yourself with Inspiring Thoughts
"Life consists not in holding good cards,
but in playing those you hold well."
"Every lucky happening and every lucky break are little gifts from God
above that are ours to freely take."
~ Helen Steiner Rice
"Remember, a kind and thoughtful deed
or a hand outstretched in a time of need is the rarest of gifts,
for it is a part, not of the purse, but a loving heart."
~ Helen Steiner Rice
A foolish person knows their strengths,
a wise person acknowledges their weaknesses
and makes allowances for them,
while a godly person seeks to overcome them.
"Our plans may be interrupted by storms, but God's plans never are.
In fact, the storm is part of His plan.
If we don't abandon ship, the winds of God will blow us right
where we belong--no matter how off course we feel."
~ Ron Hutchcraft
