You must search for your own ideals
and work towards reaching them.

Life makes no guarantees as to what you'll have.
It just gives you time to make choices
and to take chances
and to discover whatever secrets might come your way.

If you are willing to take the opportunities you are given
and utilize the abilities you have,
you will constantly fill your life
with special moments and unforgettable times.

No one knows the mysteries of life or its ultimate meaning,
but for those who are willing
to believe in their dreams and in themselves,
life is a precious gift in which anything is possible.

Don't Quit 

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.

Today is the day I will change my mind,
and leave all the negative things behind.

Today is the day I want to be free,
and not let life troubles get to me.

Today is the day I will do my best,
and make sure I focus to past each day's test.

Today is the day I will take a stand,
and choose to do right to my fellow man.

Today is the day I will put my foot down,
and encourage myself when I want to frown.

Today is the day, no longer will I doubt
in spite of the grumblers who stand about.

You look at me and ask "How will you start?",
"Well, first there must be a change in my heart".

I will hang with new friends who want to achieve,
and who want a good education cause that's what I believe.

I will respect those around me, young and old,
for respect is the key, that's what I've been told.

I will demand excellence you see,
for I must insist to become a better me.

I will reach for the stars no matter how hard it seems,
and fly like a bird with the knowledge this journey brings.

So you see it's not impossible, I must take life day by day
and do the right things as I travel along the way!

Motivating Poem - Open My Eyes and Let Me See...!!!

Let me see.
Open my eyes and guide me carefully
Through the mazes of my heart
To the place where truth lies
And there is light . . .
Let me see.

I know it's there.
I've just been disconnected from the path
That will take me there.
And I'm tired of running circles
To nowhere.
I need to feel the care . . . and share.

My soul has always known what I forgot.
I'm going to the door now,
Please hear me knock.
Open up
The pupil seeks the master
To show her how.
Remind me how.

Then . . . I see so clearly what I blocked!
The light has always been there,
It was me that sent up clouds,
Obscured the view . . .
Now I see it all brand new!!!
